JASON MOODY, Artistic Director: Jason Moody is an active pedagogue, violinist, and conductor based in the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Moody is Director of Orchestra and Music Faculty at Spokane Falls Community College, and adjunct faculty at Whitworth University. He is a violinist in the Spokane Symphony Orchestra and a substitute with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera. Dr. Moody has coached for the Spokane, Seattle, and Bellevue Youth Symphonies and co-directed the upper strings for Music Innovates, an El Sistema-inspired orchestra program in Spokane. He holds music degrees from the University of Washington (D.M.A), Rice University (M.M.) and Seattle Pacific University (B.A).

LEON ATKINSON, Advanced Classical Guitar: Leon studied guitar with Valdes Blain and with Andres Segovia. Was chairperson of the Guitar Department at Jersey City State College, taught guitar at Manhattan School of Music. He has played Carnegie Hall and several Broadway shows, soloed on guitar for the Alvin Ailey Ballet. He started the Spokane Guitar Guild, has performed with Spokane Symphony, started Guitar Departments at Whitworth College, Spokane Falls Community College and North Idaho College. Presently he heads the guitar department of Gonzaga University, travels the world doing concerts and master classes and hosts “The Guitar Hour” each week on KPBX.

MIKA HOOD, Cello: Mika holds a Masters degree in cello performance from Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music. She currently is principal cellist in CDA Symphony, cellist in Yakima Symphony, substitute cellist for Spokane Symphony, Director of the String Program at Sandpoint Waldorf school and cello instructor at Bella Noté Studios in Sandpoint.
 

RACHEL GORDON, Woodwinds: Rachel holds a Masters degree in flute performance with an emphasis in pedagogy from Washington State University, is principal flutist in CDA Symphony, is partner-owner and flute instructor at Bella Noté Music Studios in Sandpoint, ID

BRUCE BROWNELL, Choir: Bruce holds both a B.A. in Music from Washington State University and an M.A. in Vocal Music from Lewis and Clark College . He has been the director at Oregon State University summer music camps, long-time High School Choir Director in Beaverton, OR, Director of Westside Singers in Portland OR, has adjudicated several choir festivals and sung lead roles in several musical plays and operas. He is currently the vocal music specialist for West Bonner County School District. 

TOM WALTON, Brass: Tom holds a BA from University of Northern Colorado and spent 36 years teaching band, jazz band, choir, general music and music appreciation. He served his country for 22 years playing trumpet, and leading the jazz ensemble in the 560th Washington air national guard band at Fairchild AFB. The bands performances included many national and overseas tours. Presently he leads Swing Street Big Band, Selkirk Brass, and other combos In Sandpoint, Idaho, and in Arizona.

KAREN DIGNAN, Violin: Karen holds a BA in music education from the University of Idaho. She has many years experience teaching in both public and private schools.  She was the director of the Sandpoint Fiddle Camp for 10 years and is currently directing the Festival Youth Orchestra.

JON BROWNELL, Choir: Jon holds a BA in Music K-12 from the University of Idaho . He has taught Middle School and High School choir in Sandpoint for 29 years.  Jon has toured with his ensembles all over the country including Hawaii, Los Angeles and New York.  He has also been vocal director of Musical Productions for the last decade.  He was named "Idaho State Music Educator of the Year" in 2009

ANITA PERKINS, Viola: Anita joined the Spokane Symphony Viola section in 2008. She has taught music in the Northwest for decades, and is in demand throughout the region as a coach, clinician, and teacher. She has served on the faculty of EWU and is currently a viola coach with the Spokane Youth Symphony Orchestras.

DAVE GUNTER, Ukulele: Dave holds a Master’s degree in arts education from Lesley University and a BA from Lewis and Clark State College and has been a professional musician since the age of 14. He has performed as a featured vocalist and multi-instrumentalist in a many ensembles, presently in the trio Bridges Home. He has studied ukulele and slack key guitar styles with several native Hawaiian instructors. He teaches ukulele through his private studio; team-teaches elementary school general music and has worked as an adjunct professor teaching Creative Arts in Learning and Arts & Diversity courses for Lewis-Clark State College.

RYAN DIGNAN, Percussion: Ryan holds a BA in Music Composition and Percussion Performance from the University of Idaho. He is band Director  at Sandpoint Middle School and has lived and taught music from coast to coast and in Canada.

CAYTLIN REESE, Violin: Caytlin holds a BA in music from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, has studied Tubman Technique at Eastern Washington University and Wheaton College. She has taught music and piano in China and is a licensed MusikGarten teacher. She owns Bella Noté Music Studios in Sandpoint, where she teaches piano and violin.

LARRY MOONEY, Guitar: Larry holds a BA in Music (commercial music studies) from California State University Sacramento. He performs guitar in classical, fingerstyle jazz, latin jazz; is also a vocalist. He started as a trumpet player at age 6, switched to trombone at 14, played professionally in big bands, rock bands, studio work, Las Vegas show bands, pit orchestras for 20 + years.) He presently directs the Sandpoint Idaho Childbloom Guitar Program.

EMILY FAULKNER, Dance: Emily calls contra dances, family dances and private party dances regionally, and dances her feet off coast to coast. With her partner Jerry she runs the monthly contra dance series at Sandpoint Community Hall, and the Lady of the Lake Fall Dance and Music Weekend on Lake Coeur d’Alene. She plays recorder and flute for English Country Dancing.

LAURIE STEVENS, Piano: Laurie holds a Bachelors degree in Music from the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton School of Music, . She began playing piano at age 4 and has performed piano both on stage and in orchestra for countless musical productions. She is in demand as accompanist for innumerable regional choirs, jazz festivals, vocal ensembles and music competitions. She has taught private piano for 29 years.
 

RICH BEBER, Saxophone: Rich holds both a  Bachelor Degree and a Masters Degree in Saxophone  performance from Ball State University.  He performed with NORAD Band when serving in the Air Force. He plays Bassoon in the Coeur d' Alene Symphony.  He taught music in public schools for thirty years.
