
Scholarship Criteria and Guidelines
Amount of Scholarship
$1,000.00 You may use funds for any writing workshops, tutoring/tuition
Eligibility
Open to all Bonner County high school students, including private
and home school.
Deadline for Application
Written applications are to be postmarked or returned to the
SHS Counseling Center by April 16, 2018.
Interview/Portfolio Presentation
We will contact all applicants to schedule an interview to take place at
The Heartwood Center in late April.
Award Presentation
The winner will be notified by May 18th and will be presented with their scholarship check at The Festival at Sandpoint’s Family Concert.
Criteria
1. Written Application:
- Submit written application in type written form.
- You may reproduce the application on your computer.
2. Attachments: In order to be considered you must include:
- Copy of your Transcripts
- Two letters of Recommendation (one MUST be from an Art teacher).
Please, no letters from family members.
3. 3 Samples of your visual art skills:
- These pieces can be in any medium.
- The samples can be sculptures, paintings, woven, etc.
Please be assured that all information contained in your application and attachments will remain confidential.
